Content marketing has now become not only one of the best ways of attracting Internet traffic for real estate investing companies, but is now absolutely essential. However where many investors lack in their real estate education is knowing how the different types of content marketing differ and should be used. Let’s take a quick look at a few forms of content marketing and give your real estate marketing education a quick boost.
Blogging
Blogging is now perhaps the number one form of online marketing for real estate investing companies, or any business for that matter. In fact many companies are axing their old corporate websites and solely using blogs and social media instead as they draw more traffic. If you haven’t learnt about blogging from your real estate education course or coach yet generally you will want your blogs to have a more relaxed feel than articles or press releases. Blogs should usually be between 250-400 words and should provide real value.
Article Marketing
You may have heard of article marketing as part of your real estate education. Articles for article marketing are longer than blogs, around 500 words, and need to be more comprehensive on one point. They should provide your own brand of real estate education and not be blatantly self-promoting. You also need to be aware of the different criteria various article directories have for keywords and links, and focus on more original articles.
Social Bookmarking
Social bookmarking is another form of content marketing generally not covered in most real estate education courses. This includes sites like Stumble Upon, Delicious, Digg, Flickr and Squidoo. You can share almost anything on most of these sites and they can help you bring in additional traffic and improve your online rankings.
Social Media
Social media networks are the front lines of your Internet marketing. These are ideal for short posts and links to your other content. Note, that you want to stick to 120 characters for Twitter if you want your posts re-tweeted. Use Twitter and Facebook to spike interest and drive in traffic to your real estate investing business.
Press Releases
Press releases are completely different to all of your other forms of content marketing in terms of tone and style. There are many excuses for creating press releases for real estate investing companies, however they do need to be worded in a more formal, newsworthy way that avoids sounding like an ad or they will get rejected.
